Bin Laden may be in Jalalabad area
11/24/2001 There was no way to confirm Hazrat Ali's claims, which he said came from trusted informants. Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf said Saturday he does not believe bin Laden had slipped into Pakistan. He said Pakistan had sought the cooperation of tribal leaders along the 1,344-mile frontier to ensure that bin Laden does not sneak across. In the area outside the eastern city of Jalalabad, where bin Laden was spotted just before the U.S.-led bombing began, U.S. bombs continued to fall overnight and early Saturday. | |||
