RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — An explosion outside a watch shop in the eastern Saudi city of Khobar killed two people and injured four others Saturday, Saudi TV reported.

It wasn't clear what caused the blast on King Khaled Street.

The street is filled with stores, and the blast occurred outside the shop selling watches, witnesses reached by telephone said.

No other details were immediately available.

In 1996, 19 U.S. servicemen were killed when members of the dissident Saudi Hezbollah group bombed the Khobar Towers complex, located in Dahran, a town near Khobar. U.S. prosecutors have indicted 14 people in that case.
